Miscellaneous Vacation Pics

Look how cute he was, sleeping in the little porta-crib! My sister babysat him for the first 2 days of our trip so I could really relax before Dreamer came up from Vegas, where he attended a convention for work. It really did feel like a vacation because just not having the baby to care for gave me so much more leisure time and I was actually able to watch the play we went to see!

After a long day of boating, we went and got milk shakes in town. Here we were, waiting for them to be made.

On the way home, Confidence got a little camera-happy and took this photo. We were following Rob home in his truck. Coincidentally, the song, "I Will Follow Him" came on my ipod as I followed him home.

Here's what I look like to the kids when I'm driving (except I usually face forward!).

Boating on Bear Lake

Dynamite, driving the boat.

Dreamer, doing just about his favorite thing on earth! (Boy, do we miss the boat!) The water was pretty choppy and we haven't spent much time on the water the past couple of years, so he didn't get to do many 'tricks'.

Miss Vivacious on the beach.

She loves her daddy.

Dynamite was convinced that by moving his body up and down while grasping the bow of the boat that he was controlling the boat going up and down.

Confidence is another girl who loves her daddy.

I spent a lot of time under a towel so I wouldn't get splashed on (the water was SO cold). Although I couldn't waterski or wakeboard because my arm is still healing, I thoroughly enjoyed being back on the water and, as usual, loved watching the kids on the tube. Boating is such a great family activity for us; I'm so glad we got to go.

At the Beach

The Hanging of El Bandito

Before Dreamer, his dad and Scott (brother-in-law) came up to Bear Lake on Saturday, the rest of us got to do some fun stuff. On Friday night we went to Pickleville Playhouse to see the play, 'The Hanging of El Bandito'. It was a very funny melodramatic comedy that we all enjoyed immensely, regardless of our ages. It was very, very funny and the time went very quickly.

Confidence had a seat at the far right of her row and stood up for much of the show. Because of the angle of the seats, she wasn't in anyone's way.

4-Wheeling, Fishing and S'Mores

The kids had so much fun on the 4-wheelers. They begged and begged to be taken on ride after ride. They were lucky that Dreamer, Grandpa, Aunt Christine and Uncle Scott were all willing to take them on rides so they could go out again and again. Confidence was big enough to ride on her own this time, but Vivacious and Dynamite had to be driven by grown-ups. Of course, they did get to drive the riding lawn mower with Grandpa, which was just as fun for them.Nick, riding one of the 4-wheelers.
