My dad asked the boys if they wanted to learn to make homemade kites. Dynamite and his cousins Josh and Adam took him up on the offer. While making wooden support pieces, my dad cut his thumb on the saw. He drove the kids home before calmly driving himself to the urgent care clinic to be stitched up. I followed him there for moral support and got a picture of the cut before it was stitched. He ended up with interior stitches and 6 exterior stitches and it looked mighty painful!
After getting cut, he was wishing he had just bought the $2.50 kites he'd seen at the store! Cost of getting stitched up: $170. Making memories with Grandpa: priceless.
